I had a successful ppi claim against Lloyds through the Ombudsman about 3yrs ago, does anyone know if I can try to claim from Abbey National for ppi from 21yrs ago?

You can complain about the PPI if you have valid reasons for doing so and (crucially) if you or the Bank still have documentation and/or records of the finance from two decades ago.

Your earlier successful complaint is irrelevant.

Remember that different providers have different sales processes. Some distribution channels have complaint uphold rates of over 90% and others 1%.

Also, the product type matters. Most loan PPI complaints are upheld but most mortgage PPI complaints are rejected. So, you cant compare two different providers and potentially different types of PPI.

However, yes you can complain and you may get lucky and find they still have documentation from that period.
