i need to get a car - what would you do ?
Hi
I have had a company car for the last 10 years -it will be returned in the next couple of months so need to buy my own vehicle (dont qualify for another due to job role change)
I have the money in the bank to purchase a car outright, but this is from funds which is fully offsetting my interest only mortgage. But am open to thinking about all options.
So,
1. do I take the money out and pay cash
2. take part of the money out and try to get 0% finance for the balance, or the whole amount on 0%
3. get a lease car
I am 60, have taken partial retirement and will not be doing more than 8k pa mileage.
What would you suggest please.

Spend £1k on a nice Honda Accord, keep the rest in the bank. Enjoy the bank holiday.0

At your age, doing 8k miles a year and money in the bank (or wherever) I'd buy this....
