Long lasting lightweight foundation/mascara

OK, this is a mad question.

I have a ridiculous hobby (LARP) that involves weekends in a field. When I'm not covered in face paint, I like to look nice - as a thirtysomething woman with rock bottom self esteem any little helps, right?

What's a decent - possibly water-resistant - light coverage foundation that's not gonna cost the earth, and a waterproof mascara that definitely won't panda?
