Morning one and all,
Been a bit absent lately, just busy with work and the likes.
Was working on Saturday which meant I was knackered in the evening. A friend came over and we made white chocolate cookies and played some FIFA. Yesterday was spent cleaning the flat and I went for a swim.
Been to the gym this morning and I'm playing football tonight after work. Not much else to report really.
Hope everyone has a nice Monday and those struggling with sleep get a good 40 winks this evening.0 -
Morning everyone,
Dry, bright and sunny here so WM doing its stuff.
Bit achey this morning but all worth it as had a fab afternoon with my friend yesterday, so enjoyed riding her lovely old mare, she's bigger than darling Bill was so higher off the ground but good fun and it was so good to be doing horsey chores again.
Not loads planned today, need to crack on with the ironing and maybe doing a bit of weeding too. We have mackerel for tea, will do some stir-fry veggies with it.
Hope you aren't too sore this morning Nanny
Jackie had to laugh at Jack's cafe exploits, didn't know you had to supply a beverage to a chakra :rotfl:
Have good day folks x0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
OH got carted off to hospital yesterday, I am sick and tired of his everlasting bleating..........he had a full health check, Xrays etc, they could find nothing. He has to just take paracetamol for his headache and if he still has it mid week to go to his GP again!! I was very angry with him yesterday. They brought him back about 8pm last night. Very speedy for our local hospital, the new A & E department seems to be working very well.
He is up and has had his breakfast, says he is going out to the garden to pot up plants, he can get on with it.
Bed linen in the washer, it looks a bit black, but frankly I do not give a damn either it dries or doesn't.
I cooked the lamb shoulder yesterday, had some for my supper, will probably use some tonight with roasted spuds etc for supper.0 -
Yay as predicted the sun has just come out and DD and boys have gone fishing, and my son-in-law and I are taking the dogs for a long walk shortly to wear them out

Morning all
Nannywindow hope you feel better today.
Csarins hugs.
Mizzly day here but starting to dry upt. OH has been out running DD about on errands while DGS is at nursery. They are coming back to ours for lunch so I have made lentil and vegetable soup as it was chilly this morning. DD is tired so she may have a nap on our bed while DGS plays with his enormous wooden train set and grampy. Often I look in and there are two bums in the air and much concentrating, LOL
DD is nagging for us all to go to Weston Super Mare tomorrow as the weather is meant to be lovely. I expect we will go as I think the scaffolding will be going up next door. Scaffolders don't hold back on the language! .
Well have a good day all and hugs and spoons to all who want them.

Thanks for the concerns. I'm ok, only my temple and one kneecap is very sore to the touch. As most of the bruises are hidden under clothing, except my face and that is mostly under my fringe, I have been to A*dis for rations. I bought lots of goodies ready for the DGC who are coming this afternoon and staying for a sleepover as it's DSil birthday and DD is taking him to the cinema and then for a meal in the big city ( Cardiff ). So that's not much rest or sleep for me then
. DGD and I will be decorating gingerbread men, sticking, painting and any other " ing " that you can think of, while DGS will probably have Mr Fix It "X-boxing " and Dr Who-ing :rotfl:.
Tea tonight will be chicken and chips ( no one except me likes normal potatoes ) with yorkies, veg and gravy, followed by Strawberries, ice cream and cream, topped off with chocolate or toffee sauce.
Wish me luck and I hope to " see " you sometime tomorrow.
Thriftyscotslass sorry I missed you. Hello :hello:

Morning all
Been to gym and now home pottering. Will cycle to library along the prom and pick up book I've ordered, we are lucky we don't pay a reservation fee here.
Processing beetroot, one weighed in at 3.4kg, have roast and pickled some, rest for tea.
Hugs to those of us who need them. It would have been my Mums birthday today, she died in 2000, I'll always miss her but have wonderful memories of a loving and loved MumCarolbee0 -

Have you any pain relieving ointment? Go gently and take care of yourself.
csarina
You sound so tired and fed up - hugs. Is there anything nice you could do for yourself? Good book, feet up and pot of tea? Trip to the cinema, meet a friend for coffee. You could do with a break even just for an hour.
Washing is outside, dishwasher is loaded, hob is cleaned and I ordered some groceries online that will be delivered tomorrow. Lots of fruit and veg and basics to make healthy meals.
Finally worked up the nerve to stand on the scales and I am the heaviest I have ever been  and
I noted the weight in my diary so I can't ignore it and am determined to sort myself out.

I am chuckling at the guy who is so concerned with his chakras yet chucking espressos down his throat
Glad you are having a good holiday and hope the weather improves.

Hi everyone
Just been having a read through whilst eating my lunch.
Jackie - your grandson's job will set him up well for the future. My eldest DD aged 21 says that if you've worked in a caf!, a pub and a shop you can manage to get a job anywhere....yes she's done all three and currently working part time in Next. She has no time at all for fellow students who rely on mum and dad and don't even think of getting a job.
Went for coffee with my mam and dad this morning - had a very nice hot chocolate. Then spent time putting filler in the sides of the cat flap where the draught comes in. Will see if its worked - think I should probably have let it dry a little at a time rather than squeeze most of the tube in!
Sun is shining so I'm going to go and see if its warm enough to sit out and read yesterday's paper.
My dad ( he has dementia ) has been really worked up about Barcelona as my daughter and I were there a few weeks ago. He keeps telling me he wouldn't have let us go if he knew it was dangerous. I have tried explaining to him that anywhere can be dangerous nowadays. In his weekly email to DD yesterday - he talks and I type - he told her ' to make sure she just walks on narrow streets '. Bless him....0 -
Good afternoon everyone, thanks to Holly for starting the thread and hugs to anyone that needs one.
Welcome thrifyscotslass
I was up early doors this morning as I had a hospital appointment and was enjoying a cuppa on the deck when I spotted a wee mouse sitting on one of the hanging basket brackets. It had obviously spotted me as it had froze before doing some quite spectacular acrobatics to disappear under the fence. It was quite swet but please stay outside I don't want you in the house....
Some old friends are coming by tonight bringing with them a takeaway of some description
, we've been friends since school and the chat is always wide-ranging to say the least so I'm looking forward to hearing the gossip.
I'll finish a cup of teas and then best do some tidying up and give the bathroom a quick wipe round before they arrive
I hope everyone has a good day x0
