Reclaiming argos coversafe

Hi could any one advise how to proceed or suggested format content to request ppi. I have looked at the ones on the site but they don't lend themselves as argos are confirming we had the PPI cover. My husband has received a letter from argos telling us that we had coversafe on an argos card. Should I basically write back and ask for them to review the case ? When I look at this as well we ran into financial difficulty with this account and subsequently defaulted due to unemployment and weren't aware we could have been covered. Shouldn't they have made us aware.

One doesn't "request" PPI. You need to show it was somehow mis-sold to you if you hope for it to be refunded

Unfortunately, in your position any refund (should it be awarded) would simply go towards paying monies you still owe as part of your default.

Unless you stand to receive far more than you owe, a PPI complaint is pretty much a waste of your time.

One has paid this debt off some time ago 😉

Did you pay it off completely, though?
The likelihood is that interest (and other charges) were frozen and subsequently written off.

If so, this is money you technically still owe and Argos can offset against any redress you might be awarded.

You can complain, yes. Complain that the cover wasn;t fully explained to you, otherwise you would have used it. Don't use this if you got that card online or thoug the post though, as then, you will have bought it yourself and not been sold it by anyone
Try it, but don't be hopeful :)
