  • I lived in Bristol for 6 years (up until 2014) and Knowle & Hengrove were both terrible, rough, crime-ridden areas. Proceed with caution!
  • So famous, they wrote a song about it:

  • That part of Knowle is quite rough, yes.

Everyone will have an opinion on an area they don't live in.

I grew up in Knowle, (Knowle Park) and have lived in Bristol my whole life.

I really think it might be the next area to be up and coming, with Totterdown previously having the same 'noses-turned-up' impression a few years ago. Infact my mum moved from Totterdown to Knowle when i was born as Totterdown was too rough... The same house she moved from went up for sale a few years ago for ££££. She should have stayed lol.

Knowle is absolutely fine - you just want to find out if your neighbours are privately owned or council tenants. I 'think' that road is mostly council tenants, but i might be wrong.

Go and view the house (the houses are lovely and big around there) and drive along the street at different times of day - the road is quite busy.
Check out the state of your neighbours houses etc.

One of my friends bought a house in Knowle and it's beautiful, neighbours are lovely.

Please don't take other peoples opinions without viewing it yourself. The houses in Knowle are generally cheaper than other areas of Bristol, but i would certainly rather live there than other areas of Bristol. You can get horrible neighbours everywhere.
