Am I entitled to Tax Credit now?

Hi, I am currently on maternity leave month 4 of a 12 month period.
My pay will start to decrease now each month.
My boyfriend has just broken up with me, am I entitled to any tax credits now or do I need to wait until I return to work?
My maternity is 12 weeks full pay, 12 weeks half pay plus statutory, 12 weeks half pay including statutory, 12 weeks statutory and then 12 weeks no pay
Thank you

Assuming you work at least 16hrs per week and you'll be the main carer for your child you can apply for WTC for the first 39 weeks of your maternity. You can claim CTC if main carer for your child regardless of your work status. How much you get will be determined by your income.0

Remember your income is calculated as £100 less than actually received for each week that you receive maternity pay. Tax credits should do it automatically but they don't always.
Make sure you claim for child maintenance, this is not taken into account for tax credit calculations so any money you get is a bonus.0 -

The can't do it automatically because not everyone gets over £100 per week or SMP or takes the full 39 weeks.0
