Dormancy charges

Hi all. I have just taken out a credit card with capital one and wondered if there is any hidden charges such as a dormancy charge ? I got the basic credit builder card as it's my first credit card. I don't plan on going berserk with it as I'm trying build up my credit. Any help on this would be great. Thanks in advance .

There isn't a dormancy charge, but if you don't use the card for sometime it's likely they would close the account.

If you don't use the card regularly and pay it off after the statement is issued, it's not going to do anything much to 'build up your credit'.
    Evolution, not revolution
  • I think the OP probably meant "I'm trying build up my credit rating." :)
