ESA and disability premium

If you are on contribution based ESA can you still receive the basic disability premium and the enhanced disability premium as you receive on CB JSA?

No, not unless your entitled to an Income related top up. To recieve this would depend on your circumstances.

You need to give us more details.

Disability premiums are only paid if you are on contribution based ESA with an income based top up. (as already said)

    So what are the circumstances?

ESA -contribution based?: DLA/PIP? Working partner? Hrs?

She's currently on CB JSA with the 2 disability premiums added.
She's gets high rate DLA for care.
Now this is where it gets complicated
She shares a house with her ex same sex partner as they both look after there child.
They have been split up since approx 2013/2014 and it's all properly documented e.g. Solicitors, social workers and a couple of previous compliance checks.
    The ex works full time.
My friend suffers quite severe mental health issues.
My friend is being assisted back to work and there looking at a phased return back, 1 or 2 days a week.

I am now totally confused! Are you talking about contribution based ESA or contribution based JSA?

Your friend is obviously on contribution based JSA with an income based 'top up' if she has disability premiums added to her JSA. She should get the disability premium and the enhanced disability premium (because she is on high rate DLA care)
It is possible that she may also be entitled to the Severe Disability premium - she needs to check this with CAB - if the 'powers that be' consider that she shares a house but there is no 'partnership' involved and they both have an obligation to pay rent - complicated so they need some advice.

As regards contribution based ESA, as already said, someone would need to have an entitlement to income based ESA and meet the criteria to receive the premiums.
There is no disability premium for ESA, only the enhanced disability premium and the severe disability premium. Perhaps that answers your question.

For the person receiving contribution based ESA they could put their details into the benefits calculator to see what their entitlement might be. https://www.turn2us.co.uk

    Thanks that make sense.
She's currently on CB JSA with the disability premiums on top.
She lost her job start of June after working continuously for the last 15 years, within a week of being on JSA she had to go in hospital for a period of time and was signed off sick whilst still claiming JSA, extended sickness I think it's called.
Apparently your only allowed one continuous period of sickness whilst on JSA so she might be getting switched onto ESA.
She wants to get back to work ASAP but she's got to be ready for it, hence a charity and a social worker are helping her.
