Going to Germany - mobile calls

Hi

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice. My daughter uses a contract phone in my name. She is due to go to Germany (long term) and we really don't know what is the best option for her. Not sure whether she leaves the contract phone here and takes a payg one.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated

Off the top of my head I'd say buy one in the Fatherland you can then call her from your home phone for 8p a min

Best bet is have a Uk and a German one, best of both worlds. She can receive text from you on the UK phone and you can ring her on her German one cheaply.
