Hi All,
does any-one know if board payments from daughter (working, age 37) need to be declared on application form for working tax credit and if so, does it count as income that will reduce entitlement?
Also, same for housing benefit claim (rented property)
Many thanks...

If it's covered by the rent a room scheme then it's not taxable income and therefore not income for tax credits.
Can't answer for HB.0 -
Thanks for that!
Certainly looks interesting but can the lodger be a family member?0 -
The family memeber will not be counted as a lodger, however hb will need to know their income and that income will be used on a scale of non dep deductions applied to your hb.
google non dep dedictions and youll find a table of how uch they earn and gow much they are expected to contribute to the household rentAlways on the hunt for a bargain0 -
