Money Savers Arms

Last ooorders!… We’re sorry but for now, due to resources, we need to close the Money Savers Arms including Discussion Time.

It’s not easy to write this. We love the forum, but we also have a job to do to protect it, our users and MoneySavingExpert, and at the moment, with all our resources focused on Coronavirus information, and all the team at home, we don’t feel we have the resources to do a good enough job.

For four months, we’ve been struggling to cope with the huge volumes of messages we’ve been getting from Forumites – many of whom are in desperate and dire straits with their finances. The team have been working all hours to try and keep on top of it. At first we thought it’d be a short sharp spike, but it isn’t, it’s continuing, so we have had some difficult choices to make about prioritisation.

Unfortunately in, and likely because of, these stressful times, the Forum team have also been receiving an increasing number of complaints about posts made on the Money Savers Arms and Discussion Time. The team have done what they can to try and walk the tightrope of balancing all the various interests, but for now we need to draw a line under this and temporarily close this Board, so we can keep the key, MoneySaving boards – where people are supporting each other through this crisis - running smoothly.

We know this board is important to you, but as the MSE stance has been forbearance throughout this crisis, now we ask that of you. We’re sorry. Of course you can post on other boards, but we’d ask you to stick to the subjects of those boards, and not use them as a surrogate Money Savers Arms or Discussion Time. And as always please be kind and friendly to each other, especially any newbies.

Thanks
MSE Forum Team

Well, I did my walk and almost met my daily target - was way over yesterday, so balances out :).

I'm irritated about the 'almost' bit - a couple of hundred short which I'll probably do walking to and from before bedtime anyway ;).

Oh, and I nearly had an accident too :o
And not dark to find a quiet spot, so would have really been in it
I was just the opposite, I was really hungry today after an 8 mile walk at lunchtime so I stuffed myself rotten then almost crapped myself while out walking the dog less than an hour later
I just made it home in time and what I had eaten just ran right through me without touching the sides and here I sit just as hungry as I was 6 hours ago but terrified to eat anything in case it happens again :(

When I have a flare-up, I really go the whole way.

Can we rename this thread to Irritated Bowel VI :D or maybe have a seperate bowel movements thread recording time of movement, duration and a scale of urgancy from 1 - Relaxed to 5 - Oh Sh*t I need to change my underwear :rotfl:

For the record my stats today were

    7:05am, 3 mins, 1

Edit: Oh and no photos required

My shower screen has bitten the dust :( So rather than mess around with a new screen which will cost a fortune and be a pain (2 man job) to fit I decided, reluctantly, to get a telescopic shower curtain pole and a shower curtain. (I bloody hate shower curtains but I can't face the faff of a new screen, really I can't).

I ordered them from Amazon. The curtain arrived yesterday but the delivery date for the pole was 19-30 May

Anyways, this morning, knowing I would need the shower curtain tonight I spent quite a while bodging a temporary pole for it.

Just went out the front and what is sitting next to the front door? The new pole

OK, I suppose that's actually good, much faster delivery than anticipated but still annoying I wasted all that time this morning.

When you say your screen has bitten the dust, you do know there are spares available for some of them?
    Google "Shower screen spares"
    Just a thought.

Washing machine has broken down with all my bras in it.

I'm going to be very liberated over the weekend if I can't get them out soon!

Blimey! What sort of bras would break a washing machine?

Oh, I see...... they were candelabras! :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Just a thought.

I have no idea of the manufacturer :o

I have looked for the parts online but with no luck.

It's quite old as well, definitely seen better days. I will make do with the curtain :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Earlier today I went into fridge and wanted to move a tub of sauce I had in there as I went to pick it up I did think oh no its going to spill, and yes it did as it caught the edge of the tray which managed to magically open the lid and the motion it slipped out of my hand and all down my trousers and over my freshly mopped floor.

At least I am doing a quick wash tonight but still imagine how annoyed I was.
