Money Savers Arms

Last ooorders!… We’re sorry but for now, due to resources, we need to close the Money Savers Arms including Discussion Time.

It’s not easy to write this. We love the forum, but we also have a job to do to protect it, our users and MoneySavingExpert, and at the moment, with all our resources focused on Coronavirus information, and all the team at home, we don’t feel we have the resources to do a good enough job.

For four months, we’ve been struggling to cope with the huge volumes of messages we’ve been getting from Forumites – many of whom are in desperate and dire straits with their finances. The team have been working all hours to try and keep on top of it. At first we thought it’d be a short sharp spike, but it isn’t, it’s continuing, so we have had some difficult choices to make about prioritisation.

Unfortunately in, and likely because of, these stressful times, the Forum team have also been receiving an increasing number of complaints about posts made on the Money Savers Arms and Discussion Time. The team have done what they can to try and walk the tightrope of balancing all the various interests, but for now we need to draw a line under this and temporarily close this Board, so we can keep the key, MoneySaving boards – where people are supporting each other through this crisis - running smoothly.

We know this board is important to you, but as the MSE stance has been forbearance throughout this crisis, now we ask that of you. We’re sorry. Of course you can post on other boards, but we’d ask you to stick to the subjects of those boards, and not use them as a surrogate Money Savers Arms or Discussion Time. And as always please be kind and friendly to each other, especially any newbies.

Thanks
MSE Forum Team

Where's the comma (before or after yet)? Changes the meaning somewhat! :p

Just joking ... Pyxis is training me well .... ;)

Not training you well enough, though! :rotfl:

If it were after the 'yet', it would probably have to be a full stop! :D:p:D (I was going to say semi-colon, but with a semi-colon the sentence wouldn't make much sense).

Don't take any notice, Suki; Sleazy's being naughty :naughty: and I've gone into academic exercise mode! :rotfl: ;);)

Having been brought up a Catholic, I instinctively still knew all the correct responses - I even remembered the various bits and pieces that were in the full sung mass. It was hard not to sing them all instead of saying them :rotfl:

Hahahahahaha! You think that's bad! I can sometimes remember the Pater Noster and the Ave Maria and the responses in LATIN! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
I think every Wednesday from now on is going to be neighbours group gathering, used to be Fridays before the New Year.

Last Friday 90 minutes of music at max volume I could hear every lyric and beat as if it was coming from my own pc speakers then a hour of kids playing and a barking dog, then another hour before they went to bed.

Today even louder, dog barking constantly those "invisible"/don't exist men are noisy again, the bedrooms again are no go areas as thats where they congregate, put it this way if I hear music loud enough I hear word for word the lyrics and its even louder in the bedrooms it shows how loud it can be.

Maybe paranoid but I notice now when the kid comes in I hear the mother go "woof woof" until dog barks right outside my door then the kid does the same and then the mother laughs.

    It's stopped raining.
    The sun has come out.
Mrs S and I have been fed, she's now watching TV (with wine and peanuts and crisps).
I should go for a walk, but don't feel like it.
I had grand ideas about walking for an hour (so about 6000 steps).

Ok, off my hind quarters and get out there!
Speak to you folks later if you're around.

And :hello: to Joan as I don't think I've seen her today ....

I was just the opposite, I was really hungry today after an 8 mile walk at lunchtime so I stuffed myself rotten then almost crapped myself while out walking the dog less than an hour later
I just made it home in time and what I had eaten just ran right through me without touching the sides and here I sit just as hungry as I was 6 hours ago but terrified to eat anything in case it happens again :(

When I have a flare-up, I really go the whole way.

Well, I did my walk and almost met my daily target - was way over yesterday, so balances out :).

I'm irritated about the 'almost' bit - a couple of hundred short which I'll probably do walking to and from before bedtime anyway ;).

Oh, and I nearly had an accident too :o
And not dark to find a quiet spot, so would have really been in it

Getting really fed up with YouGov surveys asking me how many books I have read recently and how many I think I'll read in the future, I keep answering NONE and NONE but they still keep asking the same damn questions
