Money Savers Arms

Last ooorders!… We’re sorry but for now, due to resources, we need to close the Money Savers Arms including Discussion Time.

It’s not easy to write this. We love the forum, but we also have a job to do to protect it, our users and MoneySavingExpert, and at the moment, with all our resources focused on Coronavirus information, and all the team at home, we don’t feel we have the resources to do a good enough job.

For four months, we’ve been struggling to cope with the huge volumes of messages we’ve been getting from Forumites – many of whom are in desperate and dire straits with their finances. The team have been working all hours to try and keep on top of it. At first we thought it’d be a short sharp spike, but it isn’t, it’s continuing, so we have had some difficult choices to make about prioritisation.

Unfortunately in, and likely because of, these stressful times, the Forum team have also been receiving an increasing number of complaints about posts made on the Money Savers Arms and Discussion Time. The team have done what they can to try and walk the tightrope of balancing all the various interests, but for now we need to draw a line under this and temporarily close this Board, so we can keep the key, MoneySaving boards – where people are supporting each other through this crisis - running smoothly.

We know this board is important to you, but as the MSE stance has been forbearance throughout this crisis, now we ask that of you. We’re sorry. Of course you can post on other boards, but we’d ask you to stick to the subjects of those boards, and not use them as a surrogate Money Savers Arms or Discussion Time. And as always please be kind and friendly to each other, especially any newbies.

Thanks
MSE Forum Team

Haven't even got out of bed yet and I'm irritated.
-The badly behaved cat peed in the laundry basket so all my summer clothes have had to go back in the wash and I'll have to wear jeans today.
-I've pulled a muscle in my leg and have to drag it behind me, quasimodo style
-OH ate all the bread so I can't have toast for breakfast

    Poor you.

There's nothing worse than cat pee in things, as a cat owner for 50+ years I've had a few disasters:rotfl:

I can recommend Emulgel for the muscle

Can't help with the toast but I can sympathise because my OH did the same thing a few days ago. I find keeping sliced bread in the freezer helps as it can be toasted frozen.;)

Now I'm irritated because I got the title of this thread wrong - it should have been IV not VI.
I'm not going to change it though, I'll leave it there to irritate others :rotfl:

I got something (dust or pollen) in my eyes the other day and I can't stop rubbing at them and making the irritation worse...

I think he does it on purpose to get payback for the time I drank all of his expensive whisky. He'll be leaving for work and as he reaches the door he'll turn around, like Columbo, and say "oh, there's just one more thing....I ate all the muffins".

Do you know what? We should have run a book on who would start the next irritated thread. It was always going to be either you or me :rotfl:

That's saved me the job of pointing it out! :D:D:D

Now that I know it's become deliberate, it has stopped being irritating, and has morphed into 'quirky'! :rotfl:

Well, I'm annoyed that my Vesuvius thread couldn't be resurrected to take its place, although to be fair, that thread was more for explosive rage than irritation!

Boiler service at work this morning, I'm the only one due in and have to be there so someone finds out how to work the blessed thing :(

Every so often it makes a sound like there is a lorry outside with engine running. I have tinnitus so sounds worse to me, hopefully I will find out how to stop this so it doesn't irritate the hell out of me.

I washed one of the blankets on my bed (king size!) and hung it over a door to dry. It's big so it did kind of spill over on to the floor - one of the cats has puked on the bit that was on the floor!
