Good luck YM. I did exactly the same thing a year ago. I became totally obsessed with paying everything off and the site in general and with everything else going on it was all too much and I fell apart.

I took a month out from the site and then slowly came back feeling refreshed.

    Take care.

Hi YM, i know what you mean, this FORUM, DFW is so addictive and I have to say that in my experience I have never never encountereda chat forum that is so welcoming and supportive. Even the spammers and the no-marks that attempt to cause trouble, fail miserably because the bonds that are forged on this website, the friends; even with all this anominity is second to none and tribute to it's members and of course the MSE team. I know what you mean about this site taking over your life, I find the lure irresistable but it must be met halfway in whatever form that may take. Whatever you do, wherever you go you know that DFW is where the heart is and even if it is just to ask the odd questions then so be it. Good luck and I hope you find what is required. Lenny xx

Hey YM good luck and hope to catch you later at some point.

I know what you mean re the 'addiction' bit, it has been pointed out a number of times now by my family that I'm always on the computer.:o

I am endeavouring to remedy this  slightly.

I don't think you are the only one who is addicted, and maybe it'd be a good thing to remember the humans in the house as well as the forum, sometimes tiny humans who need a lot of care and attention,;) .

So for now positive vibes to you and yours, Triker XX

I can relate to this. I spend far too much time on this site really. If only trying to do as many comps from the comps forum!

best of luck with your break

  • Good luck to you YM, its good that you can recognise your own needs.

After becoming so into sorting the debt its probably good to have a break and just stop thinking about money for a bit.

I know what you mean about this forum bring addictive. I have contributed to many forums in the past and there are always one or two cynical and sarcastic people who like to put you down. I have never found a community that is so encouraging and doesn't resort to laughing at people and taking the $%$!!!
