Carers allownace limit

Hi

I am trying to work out the monthly figure for carers allowance, i know it is £116.00 a week, but how do you work it out to get an average monthly figure?

I read somewhere that it is worked out over a 5 week month, i would be very grateful if someone could advise me as to what the earnings figure would be.

Many thanks.

    £116 x 52 weekly payments = £6032 per year

    £6032 / 12 months = £502.67 per month.

Takes all the awkwardness out of 5 week month calcs.

ah, that might explain something, if someone on carers allowance works six days, but straddling 2 weeks and earns more than that £502.67 do they lose the full month's carer's allowance? We'd thought he'd just lose the 2 weeks.
