Both are almost free, so I would be interested in service quality.

Yes, service is important.

Using the official site, it took me about 5 minutes to book four seats in the same compartment - from the start to payment.

While on the site I was able to download or print out the reservations and I immediately got an email confirmation.

Yes, the prices themselves are (in comparison to UK prices) very low but if you are booking a few seats, you can save a few pounds.

I can't speak about the SoloEast service. It was so easy to book on the official site, I don't see any reason to try it.
