Claiming from Alliance & Leicester
Hi guys,
I took out a loan with A&L back in Nov 2000,i called them and today i received my copy of the agreement i signed.
I'm not very savvy about all this so not too sure as for what to look for,all i can see is that nowhere in the docs did i sign to accept PPI,only to accept the loan as a whole, also in the "about your loan" section it states value of loan £5000,60 monthly payments @ 10.9%apr=£6347.40,then underneath that ,PPI=£907.40,60 monthly payments @ 10.9%apr=£1168.20,they then totalled these 2 figures together to make £7605.60 or £126.76pm.
Am i right in saying this has been a single premium policy i have been sold?if this is the case then i can claim?
Also i should add that i paid a settlement figure of around £3600 to pay off this loan back in 03,does this affect anything claim-wise?,also what sort of money should i expect to receive from them if they refund me?
Sorry for all the questions!!!
Thanks for all your help in advance

Was this done by you in person or over the phone or online?
Your copy of the CCA includes details of the loan and PPI and presumably you signed a copy of this otherwise you would not have been lent the money.
You paid off the loan in 2003 and if you had not claimed at that time a proportion of your premium would have been paid back into the loan to reduce the outstanding amount.
IMO you have absolutely no chance of getting anything back now as they have already repaid you.
If you claim it was missold then again IMO you do not have a case as this should have been raised when you closed the loan.0
