Airplay on AV receiver not working

Until yesterday the airplay on my Pioneer SC-LX501 was working fine. My brother tried to connect his Ipad to it and now, although it switches on and says airplay on the screen and my Iphone and Ipad recognise it, no sound comes out. I think it's something to with the receiver as Airplay is working fine on my portable Bose speaker.
Does anyone have any ideas? It's definitely on the same network as my devices and they see it, say they connect, but I just don't get any sound, and yes the volume is turned up. The display on the receiver doeesn't change to the name of what's playing, it just says AirPlay.
