Problems with ppi reclaiming

Hi
I wondered if anyone could offer me some advice please, I've recently been making a claim for ppi from my m&s loan & credit card through a claims company. I received a cheque for £1927 from my loan claim. The company then invoiced me for £1025. I questioned this with the company who then informed me that I was due a further £4931 from my credit card claim- both totalling £6859.33. They informed me the other cheque was on its way. When the cheque failed to arrive I telephoned the claims company who informed me that this was all a mistake and that I wasn't due any further money. As you can imagine I am very upset and angry with this and further more because they refused to let me speak with a supervisor. This all seems very odd to me, could anyone offer me advice on what to do or if they've also experienced anything similar. Thanks

How much were you expecting them to take out of the redress?0
-
12.5% plus VAT so 15% in total0

I would write to them, informing them that they have overcharged and to return the excess.0

I'm more concerned with the fact the said I was due money & now all of a sudden it was a mistake.0

That seems to just be an unfortunate error. Claims companies aren't particularly good at doing things well.
Have you checked directly with the lender?0 -
Not yet, this is my next step & ive asked for copies of all the paperwork and correspondence.0

If someone makes a mistake they can correct it. You are not entitled to the money. Just ask the CMC to recalculate their bill
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
