wrong reg used gemini pcn

Hello

Ive been issued a pcn for using the wrong registration when parking at chase farm hospital enfield. The car that was used is registered under a company name and when using ringo to pay i accidentally used the registration for a different company vehicle that was already on my account.. I appealed with an email using a copy of my ringo receipt as proof that i did pay for the duration i was there. I also signed off the email with my name which having read through some of the posts on here I'm now thinking this was a mistake? They have turned the appeal down, stating the fault lies with me and also that i never provided proof that i was the owner of the vehicle.
They've given me a verification code to appeal with popla. I can pay £60 now or this goes to £100 if i appeal to popla. Do you think this is worth pursuing? So annoying as i actually paid over double for the duration i was there.
I have looked through some of the other posts relating to my case but if I'm honest i was quite confused with it all. I would really appreciate any help with this

Many thanks

Of course it is worth appealing to PoPLA. Have a good read of the NEWBIES thread then post up your draft appeal for the regulars to check over before you submit it.

There are several template appeal points in post 3 of the NEWBIES you can use already written out for you to adapt.

Thanks. Thought i post my original email appeal to gemini.

    Hello

You have issued me a parking charge notice reference number ******* for failure to pay for the duration of stay. I did though pay on my RingGo app but unfortunately the wrong registration was used. I enclose my receipt within this email and also a screen shot of confirmation as proof.

I really apologise for the inconvenience this may cause but would greatly appreciate if the charge can be cancelled.

    Many thanks

Even though you gave way the driver's details, it is never a good idea to reveal your real name on here, just in case you ever come back for help with another ticket in the future. Parking scammers read these fora.

It makes no never mind what you put, you just appeal to PoPLA using as many of the appeal points that are relevant. Unfortunately you can't use non POFA compliant NTK, which is one of the strongest points there is, because you told them who was driving.
No matter, there are still plenty of other points to use.

Yes. Certainly don't pay, definitely look at POPLA appeals here.

Try searching the forum for 'Gemini Chase Farm POPLA' because we've had a recent one or two, already written that you can plagiarise. Do not write an appeal about the mitigating circumstances/error!

Yes, you must always complain to the Hospital
read the NHs parking principles here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/nhs-patient-visitor-and-staff-car-parking-principles/nhs-patient-visitor-and-staff-car-parking-principles

Theres also a high chance that the Hospital has its so called parking management carried out at no cost as the parking company will retain all the money gathered from parking charge notices, with the hospital getting a cut of the standard payment charges, putting them in direct conflict with the above NHS document.

Yep, loads of these fake PCNs we see here are cancelled by the NHS Hospital Trusts.

  • PCN CANCELLED! Phoned chase farm hospital and they put me through to car parking. Gave them my details and told them what happened. They told me that they'd get in touch with gemini to sort it out and a few hours later they phoned me to tell me the pcn had been cancelled.

Thanks for all the advice. Sounds daft thinking about it now but id never of bothered to phone the hospital if it wasn't for your advice on here.

    Many thanks.
