Son has gone to find his keys. Will be difficult to walk on crutches but he managed to get home from the hospital. It took him 3 hours apparently.

Anyway, its given me time to recollect my thoughts, think of a plan of action. I just need to get hubby on board.

I am struggling with feelings of OCD too but those are secondary to the worry i'm having with my Son.

Dp. One of my Moms favourite books was a book of the War. She had dementia too but enjoyed the pictures... couldnt string a sentence together but to hear her read the book with no problems was awe inspiring!

Have not caught up with the thread yet so will read back a few days and hopefully come back on later. My goodness you lot can natter!
    Hugs to all

Thank you all for the good wishes; I shall carry them with me - my appointment isn't til 16:40, so I have all day to get in a stew about it.

Tru I wonder if Scampi was maltreated by a man who habitually wore a hat before he went to the Rescue Centre? Just a thought. :o
What's the situation re the chickens now, btw? End of February is fast approaching - are they allowed out of their "safe house" then, or is the restriction to be extended?

Seems that the sprocker puppy is fine and came to no harm after all. I'm so relieved.
Thank goodness for that :T - I did send some healing energy, just in case it would help.
Lainey is right about Spaniels being little bundles of energy, and into everything - our next guest (coming 4th March) is a Sprocker named Lizzie; we have to not use the room waste bins when she stays, because if you put something in one, the next thing you know whatever it is will be in her mouth. I also move the kitchen bin out at night (she has her bed in the kitchen) just in case she has ideas of investigating the contents. ;) She is lovely though, so I don't mind.:o

Sorry, I'm rattling on about dogs again - distraction tactic.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Tru one of my DDs rescue dogs, a lurcher, who was normally very placid, used to bark like mad if the gardener wore his hat.
Another one would sit in the corner shivering, shaking and whimpering if she got the hoover out and moved the furniture to clean, as he had been abandoned in a locked house when the people moved out.Dd always has rescue dogs as she says she can'r understand why you can abandone them. She has a miniture jack russell !!!!!, plus she has just got a little white westie at the moment who is very cute but very noisy :)

I have had a good morning I took the drooping loo roll holder off the wall in the bathroom and tightened everything up and replaced it and feel quite chuffed with myself as I was thinking of getting an odd job man in to fix it .A few naughty words whilst I was fixing it, but there was only me to hear them so ot too bad :):)

Just waiting for the boys to come in from school,DGS Henry has his sixth form interview tonight, fingers crossed. DGS Jack's birthday this Friday and he is 17 where has the years flown by to, he is in the first year of sixth form at the moment as there is just 15 months between him and Henry. Right time for some tea I think
    Cheers chums

I thought all my important stuff was all in one place...seems I was wrong and it has made me realise that I need to sort through it all and remember where I stash it  :o

A job for next weekend I think!

Evening all. Gosh I sounded just like Dixon of Dock Green for a minute ( for the youngsters twas an old police soap programme ! )
Tried to have a catch up but hope not to forget anyone, apologies if I do
How did you get on LW? Ok I hope.
Waves to Maddiemay- another playmate :j
Judi I don't envy your predicament but I'm sure you will sort it out.
Speky You make me feel tired just reading along:rotfl:

Haven't really done much today but did have a clean out of the junk under the sink. I didn't realise just how many dusters/cloths there were ( think they breed like the ironing, I'm another ironing hater).
Tea tonight was homemade sausage roll and a few oven chips.
We have decided to go to the butchers tomorrow to buy some faggots , we usually make our own but CBA. at the moment. Roll on springtime and some nice days!
Anyway I shall stop wittering but send good vibrations to all.
