Has any dealt with CF Advisory for PPi?

Hi, I am annoyed with my other half for caving in to the cold callers claiming he's entitled to ppi refund, he's agreed to Citizens Financial Advisory to go ahead and given them his credit card details, I fear the worst!!! Frustratingly I have offered on numerous occasions in the past to help him by using the templates on here but he refused saying he won't get anything so no point! CF Advisory told him he's entitled to just over £5k possibly more, less their fee, they told him they will charge him £495 on his credit card, then when his statement comes through he has to pay just the minimum & once he gets his payout they will refund him the £495 then pay a percentage or something along those lines ( I can't remember what he said at that point as I just went mad with him for being so gullible) Anyway what's done is done, but I just wondered has anyone dealt with this company? Opinions wanted but please don't shoot the messenger. Guess i'm hoping someone will reassure me as doubtful as I am. Thanks.
