My experience a few years ago was that conveyancing solicitors didn't have much going on in late Dec and early Jan - so overall transaction progressed faster than usual.
Maybe other years are different.0 -
Just focus on the happy thought that when you do get the keys, all the tradesfolk you may want, cleaners, painters, electricians etc Will Also be back available to work & that you aren't king of a grotty castle with grubby walls, a dubious smell, some odd scuttling noises & a horrific paint job *and* people expect you to be filled with the season of good cheer.
Also, many biscuit collections are reduced now, so you can get a really nice big box for your legal team for much less than you might have been thinking of thanking them with. Deliver it early, & get a reputation as that nice bloke...?0
