Ebay Confusion, Can Anyone Advise?

Hello,

(I'm new on this board, I usually confine my lurking to DFW!!)

I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this, and advise me on what to do.

I havn't used eBay for months and months, since March. I logged in today because I was so impressed by the stories of 'things you thought you'd never sell on eBay' thread, and as I've just redecorated my room, thought I'd give some of my finds a go on ebay.

When I logged in I had an unpaid item strike!!! On closer inspection, I realise they are totally in the right... that was around the time I was hospital for three weeks (as an emergency) and I must have forgotten about it completley.

However, all my feedback is still 100% positive, they havn't left any feedback.

So what do I do now, just leave it be, or apologise? The seller does seem to have poor english so I'd be worried they wouldn't understand.

And will anything else happen due to this strike??

Any thoughts greatly appreciated

  • I don't think it will affect you at all actually - blocking people with strikes only applies if they received that strike in the last 30 days.

They haven't left you a neg.... so basically you got off lightly... although the strike will go on your ebay record. It's too late for either of you to leave feedback.

An apology couldn't hurt, but it won't really make any difference.

Didn't you ever get any emails about any of this? You should check ebay have your correct email address.

  • Thanks very much!

I'm sure that they sent the emails but because I was in hospital and wasn't checking them, when I came out my email account was suspended and inbox empty! Ah well, a lesson learned and all that..!

  • So you'll definitely be needing to check the email details ebay have... unless your account got reinstated :)
