Ebay Reserve Price?

Ive put an item for sale on Ebay...its my first time and im guessing im going to lose money on this sale as im a zero feedback seller. I have not put a reserve price on the item, theres two days left on the auction and it has one bid. Is there a way to put a reserve price on my item? Thanks.

  • Best way is to get a mate to put in a bit for the reserve amount - that way, he / she will end up "buying" it if the bids don't go high enough.

But that does mean you end up paying a Final Value Fee.

Cancel bid, cancel listing leave it a few days and start again. You will lose your listing fees.

Next time start it at the minimum you are prepared to sell it for. Do not put a reserve on it. It costs money and puts buyers off.

This will get your account suspended if you do this and someone finds out and reports you for it..NOT a good idea
  • I think the best option is to leave things as they are and count it as experience.
  • end the auction early.. with the reason something like.. error in the listing
