Anyone have an inkling to the best BroadBand around at the moment? I need an unlimited connection and wouldn't have a prob with tying in a phone line but talktalk can only offer 40gb a month?
Anybody have any more success?
Thanks :-)

Bethere lite 8Mb for £14 is a bargain to be honest. Loads of people are flocking to them (good/bad thing) and their new tariffs mean that you get unlimited downloads at 8mb for only £14 which is a bit cheap if you ask me
We were offered to 8mb unlimited with aol for £9.99 as an existing customer but decided to move away (despite not having any problems since not using their software).
Although all these companies say they are unlimited check their t+c's carefully (fair usage policy etc) I know some companies see usage above 100 or 300gb as excessive (per month) though we struggled to go above 50gb when we really tried (amongst 4 heavy downloaders).

Plus a £24 connection fee? which takes it to £16/month over a year and not available everywhere. Not a bad price in spite of that though.;)0 -
I have always had poor experiences with ISP's who have offered "unlimited" connections because their traffic shaping policies and fair use policy have usually had the effect of reducing my line speed by between 40% and 80%, some making applications such as VoIP.
That might be something that you want to consider when searching. Most ISP's with a hard cap give you a completely "clean" feed meaning you won't be affected by traffic shaping at all, only by contention on the network and at your local exchange!0 -

There are some codes to get free connection fee however. Try the codes: FREE, SALES1 or SALES2 and see if any of those work

You obviously don't know much about BE, and you shouldn't judge every isp in the same way.
Be do not traffic shape, cap, throttle or whatever else you want to call it, in any way shape or form, what your line can take then that's what you will get, and yes, they are "unlimited" in terms of how much you download.
And in my opinion their BE Value package can not be beaten by anyone at this moment in time, and also don't forget you get a 1.3mbs upload speed as well.0 -

I have no experience of LLU primarily because they're costly to leave and almost always require a contract which is longer than 1month in length so I have never joined up with any. I don't envisage me leaving my current ISP in the short or medium term future, nor even in the long term future if they're still around, I joined them about a year ago on a one month contract and have not ever considered leaving despite much cheaper options elsewhere primarily because one of the things that I have learned in my broadband experience is that you get what you pay for.0 -

Hi,
Also don't forget the £55 cashback via quidco! :j0 -
i can't decide who to change go to.
i currently use bulldog, very reliable ultd dls.
£30 which includes my phone line.
i am not in a cable area so very restricted, speed only go upto 2mb
looked at bt and the price does not includes the bt line which is extra.
sky sounds ok, but is too much to do, ie go back to bt, then apply for sky. not worth the hassle/wait
any other ideas?0 -

Thanks guys for all of your replies and tips. I am going to look into the Belite package.
I have only ever had unlimited with a company called V21 (who got bought out by Biscuit and then went bankrupt) which was a month by month contract and was awesome.
I signed up to Madasafish last year with a 50GB limit, but was our bill was always more than £29.99 as we constantly went over the limitLightbulb Moment April 2006.Pay off All Debts by 31.12.2014.CC1: £5594, CC2: £164, OD1: £200,Total:£59580
