Mortgage Briker in Administration.

I believe I was missold PPI on a mortgage with Accord Mortgages. When I asked Accord to review they told me to contact my mortgage broker - however MoneyQuest UK Ltd went into liquidation in 2008. How do I pursue the claim?
I remember when I took the mortgage querying a large sum (£5-6k) for insurance but was told by the Broker I had to have it as I was borrowing so much against my earnings and I had to pay it if I wanted the mortgage!
Any help appreciated.

I believe you could try the FSCS as it's post 2005 but do you have anything more substantial than a he said/she said style complaint - it may also have been a requirement to buy insurance through the broker in return for free advice (did you pay a fee for advice?)
Why do you believe it was miss-sold?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

If you bought after January 2005 then you can go to the FSCS. If you bought before January 2005 then its game over.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks - I'll try FSCS.
Was it missold - I was told it was non-negotiable/compulsory without explanation - that feels like miss-selling.0 -
Are you sure it was PPI?Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
