Landscape Gardener -Small claims court

Hi, Any help gratefully received;

We hired a landscaper back in September to carry out work in our garden, he quoted £3
000, long story short he kept asking for more money for things already in the original signed contract of work i.e. decking stain etc, we paid this, he then charged us £1000 for labour even though he had quoted £750 in the original written and signed quote. He said he was pretty much finished but had a few bits of tidying up to do the following day but requested payment in full, stupidly we paid him but he left his tools. Subsequently he broke into our garden and took his tools while we were out. We have since arranged with him to come back and finish the work but on 10 occasions he has just not turned up. He has left all the garden rubbish even though we paid him for a skip that never appeared. We have had quotes from other companies to put right the work and have been quoted £10,000. We have paid out £4200 and have a dangerous space with screws sticking out, half finished decking etc. So I am taking it to the small claims court but how much should I claim for?

Thanks for reading.
