Hi all
I need to find a hotel near the Old Street tube station in London for 3 nights from 1st October. I have had a quick look round and can't seem to find anything within my budget. I was looking to pay at most £75 per night. I just need a single room and need it to be near Srutton Street (post code EC2A 4HJ).
Has anyone got any ideas or recommendations? I looked at the travel lodge but can't get the supersaver option as I can't pay for it until 27th September.
I don't need car parking as I'll be travelling by train.
Any advice would be great!
Thanks

The closest hotel to Old Street is the Express by Holiday Inn. Sometimes get quite cheap rates online.Debt free (apart from mortgage)0

Unfortunately that hotel is listed as £153+ on their site. It's quite late to be booking for the 1st and it's a weekday and you want a hotel close to the city. I had a look round for others but none of the chains are offering deals for then.Debt free (apart from mortgage)0

thanks for the replies, anyone else help? even if it's a little B&B? although wireless access would be good!? or even if it is a hotel/B&B near Liverpool Street station?
thanks again!0 -
Look - perfect. A new Travelodge, 5 minutes walk, and opens on ***1st October*** so the opening price is £49 per room per night.
I wouldn't bother looking any further at this late stage.

I'm sure that is Scrutton Street.
The nearest hotel is probably The Hoxton http://www.hoxtonhotels.com/
But, there no special offers on at the mo(sometimes £1 rooms).
So, Sam is on the money.

thanks Sam I saw that one but as funds are tight I won't be able to book the hotel until next thursday (27th sep). Therefore I miss out on the value saver rate!
I was looking at the Swinton hotel on pentonville road, is that close enough do you think? a couple of stops on the tube??
Thanks anyway!0
