Capital One 0% BT and 0% Purchase

in Credit cards
Hi, Sorry if this is a repeat of another post.
I've just recieved my new Capital One card which has 0% on Balance Transfer (1.7% fee) AND 0% on Purchases both until Aug '08.
Now I know that if you get a card for BT you NEVER EVER make a purchase on it as any payments will pay off your 0% BT and not your purchases but....
If both are at 0% doesn't that mean I can also make purchases and still be safe in the knowledge that I only have to pay off minimum amount each month before paying the remainder off in Aug '08.
The reason I ask is that they have given me £16,000 credit limit so if I use this as my standard credit card, I can put the money I would have spent into a High Interest account until Aug '08. And with interest rates going up this can only be good!
Please can someone tell me if I'm making a mistake - before I make a big one!!
Thanks

As the terms are equal for the balance transfer and purchase 0% you can use it for both without paying any interest until August 2008.
Im doing this with my Cap One card. Only thing to watch out for is that the balance transfer fees are not charged until after 3 months so you need to ensure you have enough headroom to take care of the fees.
