Vodafone charging for MBs of data despite data cap
Hello!
My partner has a contract with Vodafone (I know...) and typically her monthly bill ends up being way over the expected price, especially lately.
She contacted them via the live chat today and was told that because she went over her data limit by 45MB (not GB), they charged her £6.50.
Nearly 7 quid for 45MB of data - less than 5/1000ths of a GB!
She has a cap on her data, where Voda is supposed to cut the data off once she reaches the monthly limit, so it seems unreasonable to me that they're charging for any MBs over the limit, which are likely from Vodafone being too slow to shut down the data usage at the limit point.
She's going to download a data tracker and cut her own data off before she gets to her limit from now on, but is it worth complaining to Vodafone or a third party? This seems like a shocking business practice!
