Yes forcing him to give up everything. She has for the last few year only let's us see him for a few times each month.

Sounds like she is guilty of controlling behaviour if she is dictating
when your grand father can see you and other members of your family.

Well then contact the police and inform them a crime is being committed.

Who is the 'us' in 'has given us a power of attoney. ' ?

Why would it go to a grandchild over three 'children' and a wife ?

Doesn't POA only have effect when the donor actually lacks capacity ?
  • It might be possible to contact social services and express your concern that he needs protection as a vulnerable person. However, the outcome is not certain, particularly if he does not have a diagnosis. But its worth trying.

I'd be more concerned about his mental and physical health rather than what happens to a house he's lived in/paid towards when I already have three.
  • The grandad has a power of attorney for his house abroad and a list of entitlements for his three kids. I have to check at home if it says anything about the UK house. Is the power of attorney stronger then a will?.

A power of attorney will cease on the death of the donor. Xx

Do you mean he has Power of Attorney listed in a foreign country? Or one listed in the uk, but only for anything relating to foreign property?
