Do all win emails say congratulations or competition title in the title or first couple of lines of the Email or do some look like a normal marketing Email/newsletter? I get so many emails I just tend to look for key words and delete the rest .

Dunno, I do the same, so might have missed a few
I think the main thing to look for is an email coming from a person, so the sender name will appear as "Jim Smith" or something like that as opposed to "Mobile Phones Direct", for example and the subject will, I think, generally be related to the prize or the competition.0 -
I have wondered the same thing as you can not read through every email."And may the odds be ever in your favor."

Most will tend to either have the subject as the competition - or say Congratulations or Winner in the title
The strangest email subject I had was simply titled "Could you please call?"
and the email said
"Would you be able to give me a call on the number below when you have a moment? You were chosen as the winner of this week's caption competition so I need to get some details from you.
And yes, congrats - you won the caption comp and the PlayStation 4 bundle!"
So, best to check all emails just in case - and whilst you are checking, if there is an "Unsubscribe" link - then click that to cut down on the number of emails received0 -
I once got an email with the title "Congratulations [insert random female name that isn't mine here] winner", which I almost deleted because I thought it was one of those emails that tells you who has won (when it isn't you), and then offers a discount to everyone that entered, as I've had lots of these before with the same/similar title. For some reason, at the last second, I decided to open it (I think because there was a thread in compers chat about these types of emails and how annoying or sometimes funny they are) and was glad I did! Turns out the random name that I didn't recognise was actually the name of a jewellery designer and I'd won a necklace! I'm now very careful when choosing what to read or delete!
I once had a winning email that was just an image/graphic telling me my prize was in the post. It ended up in spam, looked like a newsletter and had a irrelavent tittle. Fortunately if I had missed it (assuming the prize didn't get lost in the post) I still would have got the prize!0 -
I have a quick look at all of them as I delete, the most unlikely headers have been wins - so my advice is to be a bit less cavalier with the deleting.0
