Payment Due Dates

Has anyone else noticed that payment due dates and end of offer dates can now be Saturday or Sunday?
I have had a Barclaycard for eons and never once has the payment due date fallen on anything other than a working day (even when it logically should have).
However I have a BOS One card on which the intro offer runs out on a Sunday, and the latest Premier Card payment due date is a Sunday.
No fair - if banking systems close for the weekend they shouldn't expect payment on them. >:(

Halifax/BOS do offer debit card payment option - which is the best way of settling te account as it is quicker than BACS and they are then reponsible for crediting your account first and collecting the money second...
I don't know how it would work on a Sunday though, as it is really up to individual banks how treat credit items of this kind.

Does that mean that you don't leave the stipulated 3 working days for the transfer? Do they credit your account as soon as you ring them with the DC details? ???0 -
I had a slight panic when my first MBNA direct debit minimum payment wasn't taken before the due date of 3/10/04 (Sunday).
When I double checked my statement though, it said 'Your DD will be taken on or shortly after the 3/10/04'. It seems that MBNA don't take the DD before the due date, so I wouldn't put them in the Filthy Weasel category. They were also able to set up the DD in time for the first statement too ;DCider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -
But if the payment is due on the Sunday and they don't take your payment until the Monday does this mean you are technically late with your payment. Has anyone ever had a late payment charge as a result of this?0
