I've just seen online that the Help to Buy ISA is coming to an end, what exactly does this mean to people who started to save ... is it basically now useless :(

The help to buy ISA is not coming to an end. The help to buy mortgage guarantee scheme is due to end in December 2016 anyway. There are lots of 95% mortgages without using this scheme. I've just used Nationwide who offer 95% mortgages. The help to buy ISA is not the same as the mortgage guarantee scheme. The lifetime ISA is due to start next year and you can either keep your help to buy ISA or convert it to a lifetime ISA (depending on when you intend to buy a property as you have to hold the Lifetime ISA for at least a year).

  • Oh okay great, I was worried for a second I thought it meant the whole scheme
