Hello!
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help...
We've just recently moved house and would like to get a broadband and telephone bundle package (we're thinking about getting tiscali...); as discussed elsewhere on the site. Our dilemma is this: can we go ahead and do this as we don't know the phone number (at the new house), but do have a dial tone?
It's probably a stupid question, but thanks to anyone who can help.

They will need your phone number and I think the number needs to already be active with BT. Phone BT and they will tell you the number or see if it will call out to a mobile, get the number that way0

Have a go at dialing 17070 from the phone.
If the phone has a number allocated to it, a recorded voice will read out the phone number.
If it is connected to the BT network, they (or any other BT reseller) will be able to connect you very quickly to give you an active phone line. This then allows you to sign up for a broadband service.
I personally pay my line rental to the Phone Co-Op and have broadband with Namesco but you have many choices. Some of the very cheapest bundled packages are subject to the area you live - many of these are not willing to connect new lines, and that usually means you have a 12 month contract with BT or someone else first.0 -
