Credit Limit

Hi, I have a capital one classic card and was hoping someone could help me with this query.
If I go over my limit (say by £20) but make a payment the same day to bring it back down under the limit, would I still incur fees?
(Capital one does faster payments where the funds clear in a couple of hours )

Over limit and cleared funds the same day cancel each other out. So no, no charge.0

Of course you have to be careful as to when payments hit your account. Just because the payment was sent on the same day does not mean it reaches your card on the same day.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Just to add, i had set a automatic payment for a software package i had totally forgot about on my credit card. The payment took me within a few pounds on my credit limit. One to watch out for.0
