How to port a number on a 30 day SIM Only Contract

Hi all,

Can someone point out the correct way to cancell a 30 day SIM only card and keep the number, on a PAYG SIM?

Should I first give the 30 day notice to the operator?
Ask for the PAC code?

Or is the PAC code provided after the contract is terminated?

Do you mean PAC? (Porting Authorisation Code)

If you ask for PAC you are giving notice to operator to terminate

Yes I do, Thank you.

So how do I go on about using my service for the remaining 30 days, I mean having a defenite service termination date? Do I just keep the PUC card and use one week before the 30 days are over?

The PAC ONLY terminates the contract IF you exercise it within 30 days; requesting it is NOT notice to terminate. There is however no point in giving notice provided you exercise the PAC, since requesting that negates any notice.
