Re: cancelling Easyjet flight & airport tax

Has anyone cancelled an Easyjet flight and claimed airport tax successfully? I unfortunately have to cancel a short trip next week and I am wondering whether it is worth contacting Easyjet.

I've had APD (it's not airport tax) returned by easyJet following a simple phone call. I did it after the event (the passenger didn't turn up for the flight) but can't see any reason that telling them in advance wouldn't have the same result.

Yes, several times. I just send them an email asking for APD back.

Which route is it? If you were flying from the UK the refund will be APD.

Do you have an email address or do you just use the 'contact us' bit on their website?

I just use the webform on their site. You get an email receipt straight away. When they respond it's coming from
customer.services@easyjet.com so that might work as well.
