Post Office Credit Card - Glitch

I recently checked my Post Office Credit Card balance online and was surprised to see two large transactions taken and then restored to my account. I contacted the Post Office and was told that there was a glitch over the Bank Holiday. Subsequently on my next statement I had a minimum payment for the month of £1600 instead of the expected £30, again I contacted the Post Office who after putting me on hold for quite a while confirmed this was associated with the "glitch" and I would be sent a new statement in a few days time. The customer services representative apologized for keeping me waiting and said he was shocked to see such an error.
I suggest anyone who has not checked their statement recently should do so as if you are paying by direct debit your minimum monthly payment may severely affect your bank balance.
