iPhone won't turn on

Hi All,

I guess this is just me venting more than anything.

I've had battery problems with my phone for ages, I replaced the battery myself as I refused to pay the extortionate fee apple wanted to do it. Unfortunately, that didn't fix it so I've just been charging almost costantly and putting up with the problem.

Until late yesterday when the phone wont turn on at all.

I charged overnight, but nothing. Tried the hard reset, still nothing.

I've now booked an appoinment at an apple store, have to wait until thursday and they'll want over £200 to repair it!

So a little bit of good new - I found out the old battery I had (before I swapped it out) and decided to give that a try. The phone actually switched on. But it seems the battery drain issue has recently become much worse. The phone was losing charge quicker than it could charge (and I was used the faster ipad charger), so its back to being dead before I could even back it up
