Hi,
I work from home all week and wanted a wireless solution for broadband and the best option looks like the Mobile Broadband one.
Does anyone use it; the 3 network have a very good deal on at the moment, £10 p/m for 3 G/B. But I am not sure how good 3's service is.
Also T-Mobile have it at £29 p/m for 3 G/B, can anyone recommend any?
I work in Shipley, Bradford.
Thanks.

Hi
I have deabted the 3 deal myself but not sure about how much usage allowance I use every month.
If you are working you may use more than 3Gb a month.
I would recommend you use Virgin Broadband and a wireless network.
Shipley is probably all cabled up isn't it?
I used to live in Silsden and Steeton and Virgin had dug up all around there.
You don't need to take a phoneline for this hence me advising Virgin over a BT ADSL solution.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep

Is it a good reliable connection and speed with 3?0 -
For simple web browsing / email it should be fine. Anything more, especially VoIP, forget it.
Incidentally, Three in Ireland charge only €19.99 a month for a 10gb allowance.

Thats exactly what I am going to use it for, simple web browsing and emails. But being a 3 phone customer when they first come out I was not impressed with phone coverage and just wanted to know if their internet service is up to scratch because they are the cheapest.0 -

Theoretically, it should be the best out of all the 3G networks' mobile broadband offerings on the basis that Three have more tenure (and by proxy more experience) as a 3G network. In reality, things may be different. Hopefully someone who's used it for any length of time will come on soon and give you the answers you need. I used it for VoIP and it sucked, but that's due to the nature of VoIP, not really a fault of Three's service nor was Three's intended use.0
