Virgin have published a new airtime conditions of service and acceptable use policy see http://www.virginmedia.com/shop/the-legal-stuff/acceptable-use-policy/mobile-acceptable-usage-policy-and-tandc-rtc.html
As a result they say " Should you wish to cancel your airtime contract without penalty, call 789 from your Virgin Media mobile phone by 15 September 2016. If you are a Freestyle contract customer you’ll just need to make sure you continue to pay off your phone."

Anything interesting changed ?
How are they notifying people ?0 -
Hhhmmm, that's interesting to know. I'm currently on a freestyle contract with them for my iPhone and i'm paying £20 quid a month for unlimited everything on top.
I know their retentions isn't anywhere near as good as it used to be, but I'm tempted to see if i can nudge the price down a bit by maybe telling them I want to go to GiffGaff who offer unlimited (sort of) everything with 4G.0 -
Down the bottom is says, if you use more than 3.5Gb of data you will be moved from 4G to 3G (until your refresh)
4G ! I wish!
Didn't look like a business contract.
Maybe there are bringing 4G at last? I doubt it.0 -

Virgin Media reserves the right to impose network protection controls which may reduce your speed of transmission if your data usage is excessive and not in keeping with that reasonably expected of a private individual.
Excessive use over 3.5GB of data per calendar month will result in your maximum bandwidth being restricted to 3G speeds (384kbit/s downstream, 200kbit/s upstream) on our network. We reserve the right to review these usage levels from time to time. At this reduced speed, customers will still be able to browse web pages, send/receive emails, and stream audio and video all at 3G data speeds, but peer-to-peer and large file downloads/uploads will be slower than normal.
And def no tethering.0 -
So this applies to all customers ?
Or certain conditions apply ?

There are two down arrows to long TandC's.

It doesn't say that anywhere at all, you've read the link and decided that it means from 4G to 3G - there's zero reference to 4G anywhere.Virgin Media reserves the right to impose network protection controls which may reduce your speed of transmission if your data usage is excessive and not in keeping with that reasonably expected of a private individual
It's always been like this with them. I've spoken to them about it at length before because of how often it's been claimed they offer "Unlimited" data - the FUP has always been the same, but they said they basically review it on a case to case basis.
I'm on "Unlimited" data with Virgin and i've never been restricted or slowed down.0
