    Oh never mind.
Could have been worse. At least the card wasn't skimmed during the withdrawal.

Was it a gold (top) card?

design of banks credit and debit card should be different.

The same thing happened with my brother. He was travelling abroad and in a rush he withdrawn money from the airport ATM. The card he had was FD credit and debit card which more or less looks exactly the same. Obviously he withdrawn the money from the credit card in error.

I told him he should have had a message that there might a charge for this transaction. But he was pretty sure this message was not displayed.

I'm surprised at all the people who seem to have the same pin number for all their cards!.

I have never been bothered to change the pin on any card I have ever had so I just end up using the one they send me!.

I have a good memory for numbers, but even I'd struggle with 11 credit cards and 20+ debit cards!

One number for all debit cards, and another for all credit cards works for me.

Yes and it will work for the person who one day looks over your shoulder and notes the number then nicks your wallet.

And don't think they will not try the same number over the other cards, they will.

Thanks for the warning. I'll be sure not to put the code for the safe, and a map showing location of said safe, in my wallet. ;)

I only remember the one's I keep in my wallet and use!. All the others ones I wouldn't have a clue what they are!.

If I did change them I would use some kind of system to make them slightly different. Something like the last digit of the card number for the first number then the other 3 always the same. So it would be easy to remember but still secure.

That's almost exactly what I do.

First 3 digits the same, 4th digit is the last digit of my CC number.
