Surprisingly enough....VODAFONE!!!

for 1 year vodafone were charging me extra amounts on my bill every month, this leading to hours upon hours of phone calls, every month to get it rectified. Each month it would be and then the next month it would happen again. I got the communications ombudsman involved and vodafone offered te following: (taken directly from the agreement sent)

· provide confirmation there is no adverse mark recorded on your credit file;
· allow the contract to be cancelled without charge; and
· provide a direct payment of £60 as a goodwill gesture.

Vodafone has agreed to do this in order to provide a quick resolution to your complaint and at this stage does not wish to dispute your case. Please contact us by 26 January 2016 to confirm if you wish to accept or decline this proposal. The quickest way to do this is through the portal at https://ombudsmanservicesportal.ptplatform.com or you can email us at osenquiries@os-communications.org. If we do not hear from you by this date then we will progress the case to investigation.

I accepted what vodafone offered and thought that was the end of it. My wife and i applied for a mortgage and everything has been going perfect until i checked the credit file and it showed up as two late payments for the month May and June 2016 (even though its meant to be terminated without charge)

I have made dozens of calls to vodafone and they agree they are at fault yet thet have not called me back to say its been removed. I contacted the os again and informed them that i will be seeking compensation of £1000 and the marks to be removed. I dont want it going this far, all i want are the adverse marks on the credit file to be removed and my mortgage to go through. we have been given a deadline of monday by the bank to have this resolved or we lose what chance we had of getting the mortgage. Can someone advise how i can get this removed as soon as possible. I am at my wits end with this company

    No chance. Even IF Vodafone do anything it would take a lot longer to get the entry removed. Back to the Ombudsman, methinks....

    Go back to the ombudsman and also apply in writing to Vodafone and get them to rectify your credit file.

    I doubt you will be able to get £1000 through OS as you agreed something with them, credit marks can take a while to get removed so it might be something to do with that. either way not good on Vodafone.
