Is it worth changing my cashback card?

At the moment I have a Barclaycard cashback card (the one where you get 2 cards with it, a Visa and a Amex)
I saw on this site earlier that American Express is the top card for cashback rates and I was wondering; will I be better off cashback wise getting an Amex or sticking with my Barclaycard?
Thank you

depends how much you put through it and what limit they give.
I 'think' my amex gives no cashback till you spend £3k in a year, then its 0.5% until you spend more than £7k at which point it kicks up to 1%. This is with 0% on purchases for 21 months and no annual fee.
there is another amex which offers 2% cashback but no 0% periodI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

hi
Amex platinum cashback is definately better than barclaycard cashback, as you get 5% back on first £2000 and then 1.25% on everything else afterwards. there is a fee of £25 but for the first year you can get it back by getting recommended by someone to amex card and both will get £25 back. but also keep the barclaycard amex as well because during shop small amex the more amex cards you have better it is as you can save £5 on every card for spending £10.0 -
After the initial offers pass, you are better off with the Amex Platinum if you spend more than £10,000 per year.
However, somebody said on here that Amex are stopping third-party cards soon so I expect that the Barclaycard deal will stop.0 -
I doubt I would spend £10,000 a year on it :-/0

Well lets say you spend £5000 per year (ignoring any introductory benefits).
On Barclaycard Amex you would earn 1% = £50
On Amex Platinum you would earn 1.25% but have a £25 fee = £62.50 - £25 = £37.50
On Amex Platinum Everyday you would earn 0.5% on the first £3500 and 1% on the rest = £17.50 + £15 = £32.500 -
