  • Hi Dave,

I have tried to login at home and tried at work today with the same outcome. When I have filled all the details in and completed the message and send it comes up wit the message I posted and says I can't access that page............strange.

I'm struggling with this as I really want to progress this. It looks as if its not the Vodafone site as I thought if you can send a message.

    Regards,

    Mark.

If you're using a computer have you tried different browsers?

  • Hi Dave,

It's only Internet Explorer at work so I will try it at home on Chrome or Firefox. Seems strange why it's doing this but if others can access it then it must be an issue my end.

    Regards,

    Mark.
  • Hello,

I have tried to complete the form as you have instructed me too earlier in this thread. When I press the send button on the completion of all the catergories it doesn't allow me to go further and says I can't access your server. I have tried this on three different computers with Chrome, Explorer and Firefox with the same outcome. Is there another way I can contact you please to progress this..........?
  • I managed to successfully complete the form, apologies for all the trouble I was having. I eventually found that it wasn't accepting the completed query because there were too many characters in the message box.

The emailed reference I got back was Re: WRT135 [#13788611]

Many thanks, I look forward to hearing from you regarding this matter.

Someone needs either power of attorney or guardianship for him

I would suggest he start another new contract (capped) with someone like Tesco Mobile, UK customer service and quite good - use O2 network

Once this is in place cancel the VF direct debit and wait for them to chase him
As he has no assets, is on benefits and is in rented accommodation he could realistically offer £1.00 per month forever- they are unlikely to take him to court due to his lack of assets (as well as the bad PR a case like this would generate)
The £1.00 a month is a token payment and they would be unlikely to get more from someone on benefits with no assets

Have a look on the debt forum

Does he have a social worker?
    baldly going on...

    Hi there,

I think that is a possible route to go down if Vodafone don't agree something that is acceptable. Like I mentioned we offered to pay the balance as a family but they refused and wanted cancellation fees. It is a real possibility he might have to go down the bankrupt route then nobody gets paid. He has nothing of value as far as possessions and is on benefits for life as he is incapable of working.

He doesn't have a social worker but we are now trying to set him up with some sort of help via the doctors or social care system to help him. He can cope with this help but need guidance otherwise as he has no concept of money, bill paying etc and is classed as vulnerable. That is what I find pretty disgusting about this situation. Vodafone have to accept some responsibility by allowing such a debt to get this high before acting. If somebody wasn't paying me I would ask questions and stopping delivering the service until something was sorted.

I really hope this can be resolved amicably as he doesn't need any of this after the passing of his mother a couple of months ago.
