I'm being sued by HFO

I owe 3500 to Citi Credit Card, which has now been passed on to HFO debt collectors. I have been paying 10.00 per month as agreed by Citi around 18 months ago. About 8 months ago HFO came knocking at my door and said the amount wasn't enough.I have never missed a payment. I asked him to leave my premises, he did and said we will take you to court, which they did. I have since sent my defense off to the court and have just completed an 'Allocation Questionnaire' which I received from the court.
I am currently 30,000 in debt and paying a small amount to all of them as agreed, interest has been frozen too.
Am receiving benefits, 3 children and single.
Can anyone tell me what they think the likely outcome will be of the court case.
Thanks lotty

If you have stuck to the agreement every month and they have still taken you to court, I can't see the Judge altering this payment.
I can't say for certain what will happen about the granting of a CCJ (whether the Judge will say no as you are paying or say yes and then make an order for you to pay x amount each month) but I'm sure someone will come along and clarify."Stay Wonky":D

Thanks for your reply, that's kind of what I was thinking. Or maybe they could put a charge on my house. I know what my original outstanding balance was when it was with Citi Card but it has now increased since HFO has taken over, can they do that, add interest and charges etc?larry470

I don't think they can add interest, but the court charges could be added on.
I can't see that they would be looking to put a charge on the house, is it a CCJ they are applying for?"Stay Wonky":D

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but dont know much about ccjs. If I'm paying a regular amount every month and never missed a payment, what would a ccj mean to me and what would they gain from it?larry470

Just read your message again, sorry you asked me the question. The answer is dont know what HFO intentions are and what they hope to gain by taking me to court.larry470

What exactly have they snt you. A Court summons (this is posted out by the court) or a letter threatening you with court proceeeding, which is not worth the paper it is written on.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
What have you received from the courts? Have you received some paperwork saying that they are applying for a CCJ?
A CCJ (if granted) would mean that it would be on your credit record for 6 years. After it was paid off, it would be marked as satisfied, but it would stay there for 6 years.
They gain extra 'powers' to re-coup the money, but they can't ask for more than the judge has ordered."Stay Wonky":D

Hi, Yes, I have been sent a court summons. I had to send my defense off with this form. Then they sent me a form call an 'Allocation Questionnaire'. I phoned the court and they helped me fill the form out. Just waiting now to hear from the court again.larry470

Also can I just add that on the last form I sent back to the court I did mention that my sister was willing to pay 1000 for full & final settlement. This amount wasn't offered at any time before as the money was not available then.larry470
