Yes 5 yrs parts and labour, any parts needed will be supplied and fitted free of charge, as has happened with your machine. But the warranty apparently excludes the carcass (which is the "box" which holds all the "parts").
So you either accept the manufacturer's offer, which will reflect the fact that your machine has little value because of its age or you obtain an engineer's report (which will cost) and if it says there is an inherent fault, present this to the retailer who should re-imburse you for the report and offer you a refund which will reflect the fact that your machine has little value because of its age.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
